Riga Chamber Choir "Ave Sol" marks a new tradition of performing the Oratorio de Noël by the french romantic Camille Saint-Saëns as the central work in the concert programme "Christmas Oratorio". The concert will include Riga Chamber Choir "Ave Sol" and the Mixed Choir of the Riga Cathedral Choir School, and an ensemble of the best Latvian instrumentalists, led by conductors Andris Veismanis and Jurģis Cābulis. Aigars Reinis, the chief-organist of the Riga Cathedral will showcase the various timbres of the Cathedral's magnificent instrument. Riga Chamber Choir "Ave Sol" will also perform "Which was the son of..." by Arvo Pärt, but the culmination of the concert will resound in the music of Rihards Dubra's "Paternoster".
