Adamaite Kristīne



KRISTĪNE ADAMAITE attended the Rīga No. 2 School of Music and the Jāzeps Mediņš High School of Music. She is a graduate of the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music, where she was taught piano by Docent Lelde Paula (bachelor's degree in 1994). Her master's degree in organ performance was received in 2002 after Adamaite studied under Professor Larisa Bulava. She expanded her skills at the Enschede University of Music in the Netherlands (Professor Gijs van Schoonhoven). Kristīne Adamaite regularly performs as a soloist and in collaboration with choirs (the National Academic Choir Latvija, the Kamēr… and Balsis choirs, etc.), as well as soloists (Gunta Gelgote, Ieva Parša, Evita Zālīte, Ieva Manoni, Kristīne Gailīte, Krišjānis Norvelis, Ēriks Kiršfelds, Artis Sīmanis, etc.). She has performed throughout Europe, as well as in Australia, America and Canada. Kristīne Adamaite teaches organ performance at the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music and Ventspils Secondary School of music. She had been an organist at the Church of St Saviour's in Rīga (1996–2019). Now serves as an organist at Old St. Gertrude’s church. The recipient of the Great Music Award for outstanding participation in an ensemble in 2014.
