Carjkova Larisa

LARISA CARJKOVA  was graduated from the piano class of the Jānis Ivanovs Rēzekne College of Music. She entered the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music in 2011, studying piano performance under Docent Juris Žvikovs and earning a bachelor's degree in 2005 and then studying organ performance under Professor Tālivaldis Deksnis and earning a bachelor's and master's degree in 2009. The Socrates Erasmus programme allowed Larisa to study under Professor Ludger Lohmann and Professor Jon Laukvik at the Stuttgart University of Music and Drama. She honed her skills at the 11th international Leufsta Bruk organ academy in Sweden, the Stuttgart Organ Academy (2010) the 6th international organ summer academy in Vilnius (2011), the 10th Crescendo young musician summer academy in Hungary (2013), and elsewhere, studying under distinguished organists such as Ton Koopman, Karin Nelson, Joris Verdin, Gary Verkade, Joel Speerstra, Francois Espinas and Ligita Sneibe. In 2007, Larisa Carjkova received the Rev A. Gaide and Rev I. Gaide Music Prize for her creative work. She has actively taken part in competitions and festivals such as Organ Music Days in Saulkrasti, the international Liepāja organ music festival (2006), the international Vox Angelica festival in Jurmala (2008), the international Rīgas Doms festival, the international organ music festival in Nida, Lithuania (2015), etc.
