Markule Digna

DIGNA MARKULE since 1997 has been the organist for the Roman Catholic Church of the Holy Virgin in Rīga. She is a 1995 graduate of the Daugavpils College of Music, where she studied piano performance under Ņina Vasina.  She continued her studies at the Latvian Academy of Music, where she was taught organ by Professor Larisa Bulava.  She received her master’s degree in organ performance in 2001.    For many years she taught piano and organ performance at the Ulbroka School of Music and Art but currently works at the Riga Cathedral Choir School of the National Secondary School of Arts. Digna Markule has attended various master’s classes and performed in Lithuania, Austria and many churches all over Latvia.
