For the first time at the organ of the Riga Cathedral - the leading Hungarian organist, professor of the prestigious Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music János Palúr. His performance was awarded the Ferenc Liszt Prize in 2017. The organist has performed in 17 European countries, including the USA, Canada, South Korea, Japan and Australia, and in 2018 he gave more than 700 concerts.


Janos Palur has been successful in major organ competitions: in 1997 he won the Grand Prix at the Second Paris International Organ Competition, after which he was invited to give a series of concerts in the major cathedrals of France. He is also the first Hungarian organist to have recorded the complete organ works of Robert Schumann and Maurice Duruflé.
