This concert brings together kokle player and improviser Laima Jansone and multi-instrumentalist Madara Pētersone in a unique musical encounter. The two artists share a fascination with the exploration of sound and timbre, world music traditions, improvisation, and the creative possibilities of electronics. The programme features original electroacoustic compositions and improvisations in which the sounds of the kokle, handpan, Native American flutes, didgeridoo, overtone flutes, and other world music instruments merge with electronics to create captivating and immersive sonic landscapes. The performance will also include the artists’ reflections on their instruments, their history, and the creative process, inviting the audience into an engaging musical conversation.
