The programme is a musical prayer of thanksgiving, with pieces that reveal the longing of the human soul for light, hope and connection with the divine. From the sublime organ music of Johann Sebastian Bach and the heart-warming soprano aria “Mein gläubiges Herze” from cantata BWV 68 to the late romantic expression of Max Reger and the opuses of Latvian sacred music master Rihards Dubras, combining the human and the divine. We will also hear the enlightened prayer ‘'Minu altar’' (‘'My altar’') by Estonian composer Mihkel Ludwig and the brilliant Norwegian composer's toccata on the chorale ‘'Let God tell all’'.
